Hello Springville School Families,
Please share with friends and neighbors in Springville who do not have children attending Springville School, including pre-school aged and High School aged children.
We have been notified by the State that the Federal School Lunch Program has approved a Statewide Waiver that will once again allow us to provide Free Breakfast and Lunch to all children within our community between the ages of 1 and 18 during the school closure. We will start distributing meals on Tuesday, September 8, 2020. This is not retroactive, and does not remove the responsibility to pay for any meals received prior to Sept 8th. The meals will be delivered by school bus as they have been since we returned to distance learning. The school buses will leave campus at 12:30 p.m.
If you chose to have your children receive meals, please reply to this email with children’s names and birth dates and the address you would like the meals delivered to (if other than your normal bus stop). Meals will be served on a daily basis Monday – Friday unless there is a school holiday, if no one comes out to meet the bus the meals will be left at a convenient spot such as hung on a gate. We would also be happy to put them in a box or ice chest that you leave out marked for that purpose. If for any reason your child will not be needing a lunch on a particular day please notify the cafeteria as far in advance as possible, but no later than 9:00 a.m. on the day no lunch is needed by emailing Mrs. Medina at mmedina@springvilleschool.org if the bus driver notices that meals are not being picked up, you will receive a reminder call, then if lunches are still not being picked up your child will be removed from the program pending other arrangements to avoid the meals becoming a nuisance by being spread by animals and such. If you have a regular schedule that requires your child to be at different locations on different days (such as a custody agreement or work schedule) please communicate the schedule to Mrs. Medina, but we cannot accommodate last minute changes to delivery locations.
